Annoyances
Sometimes, there are things you just have to get off your chest. These are minor gripes, but they still piss me off. Well, let me get started……
I buy a new DVD player for my mom. Got it on sale for $40, which was a good deal, until the damn store started selling the SAME DVD player for $20 the following week. Any wonder why I can’t stand the holidays?
Speaking of stores, I go to buy an Onyxia raid deck from my local comic shop. I know it costs $30 retail, but the comic shop decides to put a $10 markup on the deck. Bullshit, I didn’t buy it. Instead I went to a much larger hobby shop and paid retail for it. It’s disgusting how some places are really trying to cash in on WoW. Ok, moving on……
A couple of weeks ago, I go to Gamestop to get Gears of War. The lady behind the counter tells me “It’s going to be impossible to get one unless you pre-ordered.” So, pissed off, I went to Best Buy and behold, they had dozens of them, both regular and collector’s editions. So I brought one and promptly went back over to Gamestop. I took out my copy and told the people in the store, “If you are on that line for Gears of War and didn’t pre-order, do yourself a favor and go over to Best Buy, they have dozens of em.” There were about 25 people on that line, and about 18 or so started to leave. That lady wanted to kill my ass. Yes, that was terrible, but I hate how they try to force that pre-order shit down your throat.
You know, I just realized that this rant could go on all day, so I think I’ll stop it here. (for now at least……)
